Glass Walls
Surrounding me, this transparent fence
I see your reflection dancing in the light
Searching for a flicker of evidence
To show me what is wrong from right
Just say a word in my defence
Don't let me fade out into the night
Autumn moves in
Summer pays its respect
I greet the leaves as they begin to fall
Take a look
At my life in retrospect
To guide me through with a little control
Take a step forward to find I move back
Hell if that's the case I won't move at all
Talking through these sound proof walls
Life's poetry whispering back at me
Do my sound waves reach you when I call
Do they radiate through and speak to you
It's thin and worn these glass walls
I can't break through to get to you
Autumn moves in
Summer pays its respect
I greet the leaves as they begin to fall
Take a look
At my life in retrospect
To guide me through with a little control
Take a step forward to find I move back
Hell if that's the case I won't move at all
